ONE STITCH GOES A LONG WAY: Anthropologie Lokoya Tucked Tunic

So many has complained about this top in their reviews that it was shapeless and too loose on the anthropology website.  I first encountered this top in the store and wanted to try it on because it looked interesting on the rack.  When I initially tried it on, it was that shapeless, loose look because it was too big on me.  But, I have added a ribbon to modify this top so it looks the way it looked on the models.  I truly think that the stitch across to make the tucked in look is genius.  But, perhaps, this top just runs big and thus, people find it to be "shapeless", and unflattering.  The top on me here is size xs.  I have ordered PXXS to try on and will make a separate post if a smaller size looks better.

 No ribbon tie - much looser and has less shape.  Will compare this xs to the pxxs when top arrives.

 I love this purse because it's the perfect size to fit my labtop + charger, a thin review book, my wallet, and phone.  That's really all I need.

 This chain necklace is still available in store.  But, for some reason, it's no longer sold online.  I normally don't wear a lot of heavy, big jewelry.  Somehow, I really like this necklace.  It's simple and adds so much to a plain white top.  My outfit would look so different without this necklace.

 Here is a closer up of that stitch across, creating this "tucked in" look.

GLAMGLOW:SUPERMUD review and comparison with BORGHESE FANGO ACTIVE MUD

I've recently tried the whole GlamGlow line and would like to share my thoughts with you.  I'm not going to dive into what it claims to do because that would be as long as a novel.  But, here is a quick read on my personal experience with supermud.

GlamGlow Supermud  $69 for 1.2oz

I applied a thin layer of the Supermud and waited for a minute and it dried up.  It is probably the tightest I've ever felt with any mud mask.  As you can see from the picture above, you can see my problem area is my nose.  Notice those big black dots on the side of my nose?  Yes, those are all my black heads getting pulled out.  I think it's gross too but I'd rather pull them out than keep them in my pores.  After 3 min, I washed my face and this is what I saw (picture below)

You can see all those white and blackheads partially sucked out of my clogged pores.  Next step, I use the Biore strips to complete the job and I get nice, clean pores to avoid development of acne.

So my final verdict is that I do like the mask.  But, I don't think it does that much more than my Borghese Fango mud mask.  Difference is that Borghese takes longer to dry and it doesn't feel as tight in comparison to the Supermud.  The Supermud makes my skin feel really tight and some may even say that it tightens pores.  For me, pores stayed the same size after I washed the mud off.

You may wonder why not just skip the mud mask and go with the Biore strips and call it a day. The reason is because I've compared my strips after doing and not doing a mud mask and I get so much more black and white heads out after I do a mud mask.

Would I recommend this product to you?  Sure.  But, if you don't want to pay as much and get more, then Borghese Fango is much cheaper.

CAUSAL AND SHEEK weekend: HOLeLY sweater with FuN shorts

 Hi everyone, talk about heat wave!  It's 100+ degrees down in Southern California.  I feel like I can fry an egg on top of my head.  I have a sun burn from Bora Bora so instead of wearing a cute tank, I went for a holely sweater.  You would think who would wear a sweater on a hot summer day.  But, shockingly, I stayed pretty cool through out the day since I had protection from direct sunlight and ability to feel the breeze through the holes of my sweater.  It's a very casual top, so I added some fun shaped shorts to make the look more chic in an effortless way.
